The Sacred Names

The true, personal name of our Heavenly Father is quite unknown in our world today. What is His Name? What is his Son's Name? Do you know? These questions were beautifully posed by the writer in Proverbs chapter 30:4, It says :

"Who has ascended up into heaven, and descended?
Who has gathered the winds in his fists?
Who has bound the waters in his garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name, and what is his son's name, if you know?"

This poetic piece causes us to think-- to ponder on our great Creator and his works.
A sincere Bible student will realize that the Sacred Name is extremely important.

Did you know that the true, personal name of our Creator, YAHWEH,  is represented in the original, Hebrew version of your Bible for a total of 6823 times? This name is represented by the Hebrew letters in the photo above.

His Son's Name

"And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, in which we must be saved." Acts 4:12

The name of our Savior, The Son of the Almighty, is expressed as being extremely important for salvation. It is stated that NO OTHER name can save us. Just what name is being referred to by the Apostle Peter in this passage? We must know. We must find it out.

Delve deep into study to trace back what is the true name of our Savior and soon coming King. This name is of Hebrew origin and this Hebrew word is shown in the image above. It is best pronounced as YAHSHUA and it means 'Yahweh is Salvation'. Remember Matthew 1:21, where this name is introduced, "And she shall bring forth a son; and you shall call his name YAHSHUA; for he shall save his people from his sins."

Our Savior was named "Yahweh is Salvation" because he will save his people from their sins.
Yahweh saves us by sending his Son, Yahshua, to die for our sins, and make us free from blemishes, once we have faith in Him and keep his commandments.
